Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI)

Is a trade organization dedicated to advancing the science of wholesale distribution in the HVACR industry.

HARDI Home Study Institute Mission

To provide up-to-date training courses for HVACR industry employees outside the confines of a physical classroom.

Operation:

The HARDI Home Study Institute is part of the heating-cooling-refrigeration industry. The distance learning school is operated as a not-for-profit service by HVACR distributor members of HARDI.

HARDI wholesalers, through their membership dues, help defray a portion of the cost to operate the HARDI Home Study Institute.

If you buy from
NECC, who is a member of Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International, you are eligible to enroll in the accredited program at the lower HARDI member fee. Simply identify NECC as your HARDI Sponsor on your enrollment application in the box provided under FEE SCHEDULE.

Courses are predominately print-based and examinations must be submitted to the school. The Institute awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for all courses successfully completed.

More states are requiring proof of continuing education for HVACR license renewals. Industry certification testing (e.g. NATE/RSES) is also prompting a need for refresher courses. The program is designed for on-the-job air conditioning industry personnel. Over 1,000 persons in the heating and air conditioning industry enroll in HARDI’s Home Study Institute each year.

Getting Started

Each course may require up to three months to complete based on a study schedule of 2 to 3 hours per week. Accelerated study is encouraged.
