NECC DECEMBER TECLINK
HO-HO-HO.. for who?
While everybody
is having holiday office parties, instead of you participating, it's
usually the time you get the dumbest and most frantic emergency calls for
service.
The cold weather is
getting serious and you're in the basement or on the rooftop while others
are singing Christmas carols:
"Deck the MALLS
with boughs of holly, etc...". Some time ago I had a guy call from a local country club at 4:45 on New Years Eve. I was ready to lock up and answered the phone against my better judgment. He never did a dime of business before and probably found us to be the only one still open. He was looking for a combustion control. I told him the warehouse was locked up and I couldn't get him one. He said "I have 300 people coming tonight, what am I going to do"? He wasn't very nice about it so I just told him: "I don't know, but I'm going home to get dressed". If I had said yes, he probably would have told me my price was too high!
We'll bust our butts for good customers but you and I should draw the line on rush, unreasonable requests from demanding people.
Let them know you have a life, also and you're willing
to help if
you get cooperation.
"If you always do more than
people expect, they'll respond by expecting more".
Tell them what the rules are and how you want to be treated. If they
don't like it, hand them a wrench and tell them to fix it.
If you
demand respect, you'll get it. Call us-we'll never take you for
granted!

HVAC System Blamed for Missing
SpongeBob
NORWICH, Conn. - The case of a missing giant inflatable SpongeBob Square Pants, affixed to the roof of a Burger King restaurant in Norwich, Conn., was not the result of thieves, but rather the HVAC system. The Norwich police department declared the case of the missing SpongeBob, originally considered a larceny, solved after learning that a restaurant maintenance crew discarded a deflated SpongeBob after it melted into the rooftop heating system air ducts. Burger Kings in 14 states have reported thefts of their SpongeBob icons, placed to jointly promote the fast-food chain and a movie starring the animated children's character.

Find
& Measure Hidden Moisture
One of the greatest problems facing today's building
owners and contractors is mold caused by excessive moisture. The moisture
you can't see matters most when cleaning and restoring a property after
water damage caused by storm, flood or fire. From hidden mold to unseen
structural damage, undetected moisture risks health and property. Its
oversight can create liability. That's why the right moisture meter makes
the difference. More
Setting up a testing bench?
The M9000-200 Commissioning Tool
combines accurate and reliable technology in a user-friendly, yet
economical package. This unit provides four control signals to drive
floating, on/off, proportional, and resistive input actuators. LEDs
display feedback voltages and indicate mode selection and auxiliary switch
positioning. The Commissioning Tool saves on installation time and is
compatible with most electronic actuator models. A plug-in transformer
(included) or 24 VAC (nominal) power supply used with the Commissioning
Tool enables it to output AC voltage, DC voltage, current, or resistance
for powering up and controlling an actuator. It requires no controller
hook-up, which makes equipment calibration, setup, and adjustment a quick
and easy process.
